New Year’s Eve on Dam Square

During New Year’s Eve 2025–2026, we also created a warm and atmospheric New Year’s moment on Dam Square. We gave the classic Christmas tree a contemporary upgrade with 100 moving lights and XXL-sized festive lighting. As a result, the Christmas tree became more than just decoration. Light and movement extended beyond the tree itself and drew the surrounding buildings—including the Royal Palace—into the experience. In this way, the Christmas tree evolved into a powerful, unifying light installation that brought Dam Square together in one shared countdown moment. DJ Sander den Ouden provided the music and the right energy on the square, turning the countdown into a true celebration.
